This course is designed for new, aspiring and experienced forensic artists and focuses on training the key fundamentals of the composite drawing.  The course is drawing intensive with a primary focus on developing sound and tangible interviewing skills.

 

Open to Law Enforcement and Medicolegal Agencies.

 

Content is in line with IAI Certification recommendations.

 

Instructor: Det. Duncan Way is in his twenty-fourth year as a sworn police officer. He is assigned as a full-time Forensic Artist. His background includes Patrol, Marine, Investigations and Forensic Identification. He has extensive training in all disciplines of Forensic Art and is a criminal investigations trained interviewer. Duncan has been a forensic artist for fourteen years and specializes in graphite coloured pencil realism in his personal artwork.

 

Det. Duncan Way started FASElinks (Forensic Artist Skills Enhancement) Workshops as an avenue for forensic artists to gather and share their skills and knowledge fostering collarborative learning. Duncan now specializes in teaching drawing skills and interview techniques essential to conducting successful Police Composite Drawings. he has provided training at the FBI and multiple police agencies and for law enforcement personnel and artists across the United States, Canada, and beyond.
