This class is designed to teach Officers/ detectives the fundamentals of photographic image-making using Digital SLR cameras. Emphasis will be placed on establishing a solid organization and foundation of crime scene photography. Establish understanding and skills in photographing crime scenes, vehicles, subjects, and evidence during investigative situations. Utilize the camera settings such as aperture, shutter speed, and ISO with a combination of alternative light sources to enhance photographic images. Practice the skills learned in this class in day and nighttime settings.

DSLR or mirrorless camera.

All lenses available while on duty.

External flash.

Sturdy tripod.

Flash sync cord.

Remote shutter release.

Flashlight.
